Penina Championship Golf Course

There are three golf courses at Penina. The 18 hole championship course, which requires a maximum handicap of 28 for men and 36 for ladies (handicap certs must be presented). The 9 hole resort course and the academy course, which is a fun par 3, have no handicap restrictions. There is also an extensive driving range and practice area, where lessons from teaching pros are available.

Penina was the first course to be built in the Algarve and was completed in 1966. It has hosted many major international competitions including the Portugese Open on several occasions.

Free Golf When You Stay at Penina Apartments

The very unique feature of Penina is that up to four occupants in each condominium can enjoy a free daily round on the championship course throughout the duration of their stay. For example, a ladies or gents 4 ball could occupy a three bed unit and have their golf and accommodation for a little as £200 per person per week.

On arrival, golf cards are issued to the individual occupants. These cards identify you and allow you to make tee time bookings at the golf reception and entitles you to discounts for certain items such as food, drink and golf equipment.
